Are you a member of a bee group or mini-group? A book club? I’m a member of both, and I love the inspiration, friendship, and intimate setting of the small groups that meet in our homes. I’d be delighted to visit your small group, either in person, or by Skype.
How does it work? Here are the details:
- I’ll visit your bee group, book club, or other private group. All you need to do is purchase ten copies of Color Mastery. I recommend you buy from your local quilt shop, but you can also buy online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Atlasbooks. It doesn’t matter where your group gets their copies, they simply need ten people, each with their own copy. (If you don’t have ten people in your group, invite a few friends for the day, or buy copies to donate to your local guild or library.)
- If you live close to me in Georgia (within one day’s drive), I’ll visit you. If you’re more than one day’s drive, willing to pick up my travel expenses and provide a place for me to stay, I’ll visit your group as well. Otherwise, we can visit via Skype, an online video conferencing site (don’t worry – it’s easy. You don’t need any special equipment).
- Your group will get the most from the discussion if you’ve read the book and done a few exercises from it, or even made a quilt or two. Not necessary, but we all get more from the chat if you’ve done the homework!
I’m booking small groups now, so float this idea before your group. Discuss. Get out the calendars. I’ll see you there!
I was at your presentation last night in Ringgold, GA, and really enjoyed what you had to say. I have been on You Tube this morning looking up the sites that were listed at the bottom of the handout you provided. I am interested in getting the color wheel blank, that you said on one of those videos, was available at your site, but have been unable to locate that download. If you can help, I will appreciate it very much. I want to work on this with the quilt group at my church. Thanks, Susan
