Day Six of the Color Mastery blog tour finds me at the Harpers’ Homeschool Diary, home of Laurel Harper, prolific Twitter communicator, homeschool mom, PhD candidate, and college professor – oh yes, she quilts too! I homeschooled my own boys for several years, and found the most effective way of teaching them so they would remember, was to incorporate hands-on projects to reinforce whatever concepts we were learning. Quilting is an excellent opportunity, for girls and boys alike, to learn and apply art, mathematics, history, economics, and many other subjects.

If you are a homeschooler and the fine arts are not a strength, Color Mastery can help! And if you have children or grandchildren you would like to teach to quilt, Color Mastery can extend the quilting lessons far beyond just making a quilt.
